Roger Roch

Roger Ludovic Roch, 88, of Hyattsville, Maryland, passed away peacefully at his residence on April 14th, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (Dockery) Roch. Roger was born on August 8th, 1931, in West Warwick, Rhode Island to the late Ludovic and Marthe (Levesque) Roch.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra L Roch.

Roger was a retired Captain of the Metropolitan Police Department and was a United States Marine Veteran of the Korean War. Roger loved his family and was an avid golfer for many years at the Glenn Dale Golf Club. Besides his wife of 59 years, he is survived by his siblings, Paul D Roch and Lorraine B (Roch) Lusignan. He was a loving father and leaves behind his children, Keith Roch, Theresa (Bill) Clarke, Janet (Joseph) Ficco, and Nancy Roch; his grandchildren, Bill (Lindsay) Clarke, Jamie (Chris) Pinkert, Mandy (Kevin) Welsch, Ryan (Cana) Roch, Tiffany (TJ) O’Neill, and Samantha Ficco; and his Great-Grandchildren, Daphne Clarke, Riley and Shelby Pinkert, Grayson and Caden Clarke, Dominic Roch, Rowen O’Neill, and Selah Welsch.

Due to current State Health Department guidelines, Roger’s funeral, wake, and burial will be private. Relatives and friends will be invited to attend a Memorial Service and Visitation at a later date.
