Sharon Hardwick

It is with great sadness and much love that the family of Sharon Louise Hardwick announces her passing on Sunday, June 13, 2021, due to complications from esophageal cancer. Sharon most recently residing in Lusby, MD but was a long-time resident of Hyattsville, MD.

Beloved Mother of Tina-Marie Hardwick-Edwards, who is mother to Jeremy Hardwick (Laura) – children Bentley and Brodee, Jarred Edwards, DeAnne Lopez (Eddie) who is mother to Codee (Sheila) – child Xavier, Angelina-Marie, Caden and Conner, Joshua Edwards – children Tre’von, Malik, Micah, Quiniya and Jayden, Tabitha Supernaugh (Mark) – children Audrey and Lily Belle.

Beloved Mother to Yvonne-Annette Weatherford (John) who is mother to Amberlyn Bratten, Emileah and Braeleigh Weatherford.

Beloved Mother to Bruce Hardwick, Jr. (Aisha) who is father to Coral Barnes (DaShawn) and Bruce “Bryce” Hardwick, III.

Sister of Ann-Marie Witteman and Kathleen Giorgio (Jim).

She is preceded in death by her husband Bruce Hardwick, Sr., her mother Jannet C. Myers and her father, William S. Avery.

Sharon was often referred to as “Ma” by her family. She was a homemaker and stay-at-home mom. She also babysat her grandkids for many years. Her sudden loss will be felt deeply by so many.

A visitation will be held at Gasch’s Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD 20781 on Saturday, June 26th from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. followed by a service from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. with the burial at 1:00 p.m. at her final resting place in Fort Lincoln Cemetery, with her husband.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be considered to John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, 4930 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224. They took such great care of our mother/grandmother while she was there.
