Alfred Glass, Jr.

Alfred Rodgest Glass, Jr., of Burke, VA, passed away in Fairfax,VA, on June 5, 2020.  Alfred was born in Frederick, MD on February 8, 1942.  Alfred is survived by his loving wife, Eileen, of Burke, VA, where they resided happily for over 40 years.

Alfred is also survived by his sisters, Patricia Jones and Trudy Bonham as well as nieces, nephews and cousins in Maryland. He was preceded by his late parents, Alfred R. Glass Sr. and Catherine Schilling Glass, his brother, David Luther Glass, and his sister, Carolyn Walsh.

Alfred served proudly in the United States Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964. Alfred is a former employee of Coca-Cola, Pepsi Cola and Premium Distributors of Northern VA & Washington DC; he retired from Cox Communications of Northern VA in 2008. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed bingo, and coin collecting.

The visitation will be on Wednesday, June 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A, 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD 20781.  The interment will follow at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, Maryland 20722, with Military Honors beginning at 1 p.m.  COVID-19 rules for safe distancing and masks will be required at both the funeral home and cemetery.
