Art Bittenbender

On Monday, March 31, 2008, Art Bittenbender, a New Carrolton resident for 44 years, passed away at the age of 75. After 44 years as a computer programmer for the Federal Government, he retired in 1995. A longtime member of the American Legion, Greenbelt Post 136, he served in the Army during the Korean War. Husband for 54 years to Ann Bittenbender; father of Barrie Richards, Glenn Bittenbender and the late Craig Edward Bittenbender; brother of Judy Hartzel; grandfather of Jessica (Kenny), Justin, Aaron, Eric, Kyle, Ryan, Sean, Sherri and Michael; great-grandfather of Alexander.
