Aura R Velazquez Solis

Mount Vernon - Aura Ramona Velazquez Solis, 77, died at her home February 2, 2023 after battling ALS.
She was born in Nancimi, Nicaragua on August 31, 1945, the daughter of Augustin Solis Guido and Luisa Cubillo Camp.
Aura moved to the United States at the age of 18 to care for others. She lived and worked in the DC metropolitan area most of her life. Her love and care for those around her created family that loved her immensely. She was filled with random acts of kindness and love, all that she touched grew and blossomed around her. We will try to see this love every day and in our garden where she always enjoyed being.
Aura is survived by her husband Luis Velazquez; daughter and son-in-law Jeanett Velazquez Reight and Ian G. Reight; two grandchildren, Julian and Amalia.
