Betty Phillips

Betty Jane Phillips departed this life on April 19, 2022.  She was born in Richmond, Virginia on August 20, 1933.  Betty is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Anthony Phillips, who she married on June 20, 1958.  Betty and Joe resided in Bladensburg, Maryland and loved their home away from home in Chincoteague, Virginia.  She is survived by daughter, Lori Phillips White, son, Joseph Phillips, husband, Jan Broulik, and son, Ronald Phillips, and wife Leslie Stallard Phillips.  Betty also leaves behind grandchildren, Betty White Bilodeau and husband Casey, Bobby White Young and husband Brandon, Paige Phillips and Tristan Phillips and his girlfriend Addie Foresman.  Great-grand children include, Robert Case, Richard Cross, Skyler Bilodeau, Courtnie Bilodeau, Nathen Roston, Haylee Young, Arissa Young, Savanna Young and Gracie Young.  She also leaves behind many, many nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.  Betty worked for the Bladensburg School District for most of her life and was active in the Bladensburg Volunteer Fire Department and the Colmar Manor American Legion.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4th from 4 to 7pm at Gasch’s Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD  20781.
