On October 2, 2022, age 81, of College Park, MD. Daughter of the late Walter A. and Bertha R. Brester of Washington, DC. Loving wife of 61 years to William Teter. Adoring mother of four sons: Walter, William Edward, John and Carl. Also survived by her nine beloved grandchildren: Pal, Haley, Daniel, Henry, Sophia, Charlie, Frederick, Luke and Emmett. Beverly loved to knit and quilt and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She had a renowned career and held a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from University of Maryland with research focused on bringing nutrition to medical care. She was the President of the American College of Nutrition, was Awarded Master of American College of Nutrition and the Weston A. Price Foundation Scientific Integrity Award, was the co-inventor on 2 patents related to her research areas and was the Chairman of the Board of Concordia Lutheran School in Hyattsville, MD and an active volunteer at Redeemer Lutheran Church. A visitation will be held at Gasch’s Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD on Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 2 to 6pm. Funeral service will be held at Gasch’s on Monday, October 10 at 11am followed by burial at Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
