Carol Brannan

Carol Brannan, of Ocean View, DE, passed away on Tuesday, Mach 15, 2016, peacefully at her home with loving family. She was born in Washington, DC, loving daughter of the late Robert Omer and Harriet "Betty" Spiker. Carol grew up in Mt. Rainier, MD and was a graduate of Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, where she met the love of her life and husband of 54 years, Philip Brannan.
She spent many years working as a secretary and office administrator for the U.S. Supreme Court, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and University of Maryland, Institute for Physical Science and Technology. Carol raised her family in Hyattsville, MD and Beltsville, MD, before retiring to "the beach" in Delaware.
She was the loving mother of three children: Phyllis Keehn and husband Sean, of Bowie, MD; Sharon Bussink and late husband Jim, of Lusby, MD; and Danny and wife Jocelyn, of Laurel, MD. Carol's true joy over the past 28 years came from loving and spoiling her four grandchildren: Meghan and Ryan Keehn, and Zachary and Joshua Brannan. And she even enjoyed spoiling her grand-doggies.
Carol enjoyed spending time and laughing with her good friends, at all stages during her life. Friends may call at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD on Tuesday, March 22 from 4 to 7 PM, with a prayer service at 6 PM.
