Catherine Burleson

It is with great sadness that the family of Catherine L. (Berkheimer) Burleson must announce her passing on March 10, 2022. She was 66 years old.

Cathy worked in the glass industry and the food service industry for many years and several years caring for her grandchildren. She was married to Jeff Burleson for 46 years. She raised her two children in Bladensburg, MD.

She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, best friend and backbone to her family. She touched so many people with her beautiful smile, genuine heart and giving nature. She will be truly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Alan Burleson, her father, Dale Edward Berkheimer, and all three of her brothers, Tony, Mark & David Berkheimer.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey H. Burleson, daughter, Jennifer Fraley (husband Dave Fraley), her grandchildren, Taylor Espinola, Tyson, Triston, & Tori Fraley, and great-grandson Gavin Espinola.

She is also survived by her mother and stepfather, Hazel and Sam Liff, her sister, Cindy Wolfe (husband Tony Wolfe), her step mother, Mary (Linda) Zaerr Berkheimer and three step sisters, Rose Rodriguez, Nancy Brennan and Bonnie Berkheimer. As well as numerous relatives and close friends.

The Viewing will be held at Gasch’s Funeral Home, P.A. in Hyattsville, MD on Sunday, March 20th from 2-4pm & 6-8pm. The burial will take place on Monday, March 21 @ 2pm at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD. All are welcome to attend.

Flowers can be sent to Gasch’s Funeral Home or in lieu of flowers donations can be made to The National Institute of Health (NIH) in her honor.
