On Friday, March 25, 2016 of New Carrollton, MD. Daughter of the late Pasquale & Ann Monaco. Beloved wife of the late Antonio Garcia. Loving mother of Cecelia (James) Moore, Antonio (Betty) Garcia, Bernadette (Elmer) Tippett, Ann (Alan) Macomber, John, George, Michael and David (Mvuniwa) Garcia. Cherished grandmother of 22; great-grandmother of 15. Sister of Patsy Ann (Foster) Simms, and the late John (Dorothy) Monaco, Joseph (Wanda) Monaco, and Anthony (Marcia) Monaco. She is survived by Peggy (Robert) Guyton, her niece, as well as countless cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends who were like family. She and her husband sponsored over 75 Vietnamese refugees through Catholic Charities. Friends may call at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD on Wednesday, March 30 from 2 to 8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 5700 St. Bernard's Drive, Riverdale, MD on Thursday, March 31 at 11 AM. Entombment Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122.
