Danni Marie Magill

Danni Marie Magill, age 56, of Federalsburg, MD, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 24th, 2020.  She was born on June 11th, 1964, to her late parents, Charles Daniel Magill and Honor Constance Grogan.

Danni Marie’s and her former husband was Matthew Edward Funkhouser are the parents of their beloved son, Matthew "Shane" Funkhouser.  Shane and his wife, Angela, blessed her with two beautiful granddaughters, Kamryn Nichole and Bella Rose.

Danni Marie is survived by her siblings, Dana Risk and Dona Allen. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Daniel Magill.

Danni Marie was an old soul, but she was young at heart. She loved listening to Motown music and the Disney character, Tinkerbelle. She was a passionate animal lover. She loved riding her childhood horse, Phoenix, and she loved her two dogs, Tough Stuff and Jax. She enjoyed arts and crafts, yard sailing and long talks with family and friends -  especially about her childhood adventures living in Landover Hills, MD.

Danni Marie was a thoughtful and caring person. She had a way with words that both made you feel loved and made you laugh. She never met a stranger. She took time to call and send cards, and she loved unconditionally. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and friend.

Danni Marie will be greatly missed by all who knew her. To those closer to her, Danni Marie would always say, "Never say goodbye, just say see you later." So, instead of saying goodbye to Danni Marie, say, "see you later," keep her in your heart and honor her memory. When you think of her or miss her, connect with a loved one or someone in need and do something kind for them in her honor.

There will be a memorial gathering held at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore  Avenue, Hyattsville, MD on Tuesday, June 7th, 2020 from 4 to 6 p.m.
