David Sampson

March 10, 1921 — June 17, 2012

David Glenn Sampson, age 91, of Mitchellville, MD passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012. Born March 10, 1921, he was the son of Hugh Beuford and Daisy Belle (Rippetoe) Sampson. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired from the Federal Government as a Machinist/Inspector. He was Past Chief and Lifetime Member of Berwyn Heights Vol. Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia E. Sampson, and sons, John Robert, Michael, Lloyd and Stephen. He is survived by sons, David Glenn (Jan), William (Paula) and daughter-in-law, Barbara Sampson. Grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 33. Loving companion of Lois Sheldon. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 21 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at GASCH'S FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Ave., Hyattsville, MD, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, June 22 at 11 am. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to "Sampson Memorial Fund" c/o Grace Church, 8400 Good Luck Rd., Lanham, MD 20706.
