Dawn Edwards

Dawn Edwards passed on May 27, 2011. She was born on Nov. 13, 1922 in Elizabeth City, N.C.. She resided in Bladensburg, MD for over 58 years with her beloved late husband Sterling T. Edwards. She was the sister of Barbara Dolan of Ocala, FLA.. The devoted mother of Timothy T. Edwards and his wife Anne of Gaithersburg, MD., Sandra Freeman and her friend John of Landover, MD., Carol Gibson and her husband Grover of Spotsylvania, VA.. Loving Grandmother of Gregory Gibson and his wife Laura, Elizabeth Waugh and her husband Brandon, Lyn Alexander and her husband Jeff, Michael Van Meter and his wife Cindy. Great Grandmother of Gregory Jr., Cheyanne and Darin Gibson, Lara and Stephen Holvik and Jennifer and Ryan Van Meter. Sister-in-law of Sue Cornell. Sue Jackson and many other friends, nieces, nephews, cousins and family members.
She will be forever missed by all that knew her. She was known for her compassion, words of wisdom, uncompromising love and generosity, also her beautiful smile and twinkling blue eyes.
Words alone cannot begin to encompass what she gave to all who had the good fortune to know her. She was a wonderful Mother and friend. Our love is unending for you Mom - please watch over us - you are in God's hands now.
