Edna Waters

Passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013, formerly of Berwyn Heights, MD. She was a mother figure to many who knew her and was an excellent seamstress and cook. Her house was truly a home. She was the loving wife of the late Edward J. "Ned" Waters; cherished mother of Maria Snoddy and Irene Barbe; mother-in-law of Dr. David F. Barbe and the late John "Jack" Snoddy; sister of the late Betty Trumbo, O.E. "Dick" Purdy, Jr. and Ethel P. Hall. Grandmother of Elaine and Donna Snoddy, Laura Collier, Theresa Bassett, Kristin Cattell and the late John "Jack" Snoddy, Jr. Also survived by many beloved great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at GASCH'S FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD on Sunday, June 16th from 5 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 17th at 10 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 4902 Berwyn Road, College Park, MD. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery.
