Edward M. Mutchler "Mr. Ed", 94, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2020, in Annapolis, Md. He was born January 20, 1925, in Mount Rainier, MD. Mr. Ed was preceded in death by his father Floyd, mother Francis, and six siblings.


He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Mutchler after 71 years of marriage. Also, his children Diane "Chris" Kriner, Cheryl Rosser, Kenneth Mutchler and Michael Mutchler. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Eric Kriner, Shawn Mutchler, Megan Balazek, Kenneth Mutchler Jr., Karen Vogel, William Rosser IV, as well as 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.


Mr. Ed proudly served his nation during World War II, in the U.S. Army as a medic in the 45th Infantry Division. He was an active member of the American Legion Post #131 in Colmar Manor. He also served as councilman for Colmar Manor, MD from 1965-1975 and then as the mayor from 1975-1982. Mr. Ed was inducted into the PG County Volunteer Fire Department Hall of Fame after his many years of volunteer service with the Cottage City / Colmar Manor and Bunker Hill fire departments of which he remained an active member.
