On Friday, May 9, 2014, Elizabeth Jarman (nee Vanderhuff), 76, of Hyattsville, MD, was surrounded by family as she passed in peace. Elizabeth was the beloved wife of 59 years to Warren "Shuffie" Jarman. She was the loving mother of Jody (Dennis), Doug (Lori), Wayne (Roxanne), Jennifer (Louie), Holly, Heidi, and Jeffrey (Dawn). She was also the cherished grandmother of Denny, Kimberly (Sean), Kayla, Cody, Kelsey, Priscilla, Johnny, Louie, Matthew, Camilla, Nathan, and Ginger, as well as great-grandmother of precious Victoria. Elizabeth was the caring sister of Dianne, and sister of Marlene, Charles, and the late Parthinia. She was a dear friend of Frances Armstrong. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Skidmore, her father, Charles Vanderhuff, and her stepfather, Stacy Skidmore. Friends may call at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD, on Thursday, May 15 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a service will be held on Friday, May 16 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Salvation Army of Prince George's County, 4825 Edmonston Road, Hyattsville, MD 20781.
