Glenn V. Brauner was born in San Antonio, Texas on 10/30/26 to Ruth and Victor Brauner. Glenn had two other siblings, Marion and Donald. Glenn graduated from Hyattsville High School in 1945. He met his wife, Doris, when his sister-in-law, Miriam, introduced them. Glenn and Doris married in June of 1948 and had their first child, Rick, in 1952, and their second child, Karen, in 1961. Glenn was a proud husband, father, and grandfather. His first grandchild, Megan, was born to Rick and his wife, Debbie, in 1984, followed by Rebekah in 1992. Karen had his final grandchild, Kellen, in 1994.
Glenn enjoyed golfing with his best friends for many years before deciding to switch to bowling after moving to a wonderful community where he met many new and cherished friends. Unfortunately, Glenn fell while bowling and broke his hip. Glenn gallantly worked with his therapists to return to the alley but, unfortunately, fell and broke the same hip once more. On September 25th, Glenn passed peacefully in his sleep, as was his wish. We will all miss him, his stories, and “Glennisms”, one of which was, “It is never so bad that it couldn’t be worse.”
