IRENE C. BROOKS "Peaches"
On Friday, May 25, 2007 at the age of 65. Resident of Alexandria, VA. She had over 30 years of dedicated service ending as Administrative Secretary to the Director of Founders Library at Howard University. Former wife and still friend of Walter J. Brooks; loving mother of Schinnell Leake (Michael) and Terrelene Bernard (Darryl); sister of Eugene D. Williams and Brian A. Williams; grandmother of Toekeisha, Christian, Faith, Cameron, Siobhan and Micah; and great-grandmother of five. Also survived by two godchildren Deborah Godden and TerrenceThompson. She was preceded in death by her son Breckston Brooks. A memorial service will be held at Rankin Chapel on the campus of Howard University, on May 31, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements by GASCH'S FUNERAL HOME, P.A. Hyattsville, MD.
