Irma Jean Lamot, 89 years of age, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025 with Ron, devoted husband of 53 years, by her side. Jean was born at Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington, DC on March 5, 1936 to her loving parents, Walter and Ruth Hall of Riverdale, MD.
Jean worked in the Food Service Industry until retirement in 1997. She enjoyed camping, crabbing, fishing and being with family and friends. Jean has been affiliated with the Prince George’s County Elks Lodge #1778 for over 55 years, being a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, and became a member in 2007. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary since 1971.
Jean is preceded in death by her father, Walter E. Hall, mother, Ruth Hall, and brothers, William Hall and Richard Hall.
Jean is survived by her husband, Ronald, children, Gene (Joey) Morris, John Morris (Debbie), James Morris (Kathy), Patricia DeGraff (Duane), Patrick Morris (Pam), and Melissa Wilson (Justin), sister, Helen Baker (Roy), 14 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may gather at Gasch’s Funeral Home on Friday, April 11, 2025. Viewing will be from 2PM – 4PM. Funeral services will begin at 4PM followed by an Elks Lodge of Sorrow at 5PM.
The Repass will be held from 6PM – 8PM at Gasch’s Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jean’s honor to the Elk’s National Foundation. www.elks.org
