Janet Richards

Janet Richards, 75, was born in Everett, PA, in 1943, the only child of Varian and Jessie (Alloway) Hoover.  Janet graduated from Forbes Road High School.  During her teen years she was employed by the Howard Johnson Cove Valley Restaurant on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. She later graduated from the former Hagerstown Medical Secretarial School.  For most of her life she worked as a medical transcriptionist, but her true focus was on family.  She relished family get togethers, cruising in the Caribbean, Jimmy Buffett and Margaritas.  She is survived by her husband, Frank, three sons, Chris and his wife Kelly, Jason and his wife Ashley, and Mark, as well as a step-daughter, Anne and her husband Jack.  The real light of her life was her grand children and great-grandson: Lance, Katelyn, Jessie, Lauren, Reagan, Hailey and Trey.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 25 at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD 20781 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 26 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 4902 Berwyn Road, College Park, MD 20740.  Internment at 3:00 p.m. at Hartman Memorial Cemetery, Hustontown, Pennsylvania.
