Jean Rector-Trahan

Jean Leona Taylor Rector-Trahan, age 87, peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021, in La Plata, Maryland.  A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she touched many lives and was loved by all who knew her.

She was born December 21, 1933, in Beltsville, Maryland to the late Morris A. Taylor and Nettie V. Taylor (Leizear).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Daniel C. Rector, Sr. and Joseph L. Trahan, her sister Ann E. Kolata, and her beloved son Daniel C. Rector, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeanette M. Gioffre (Rector) and loving son-in-law Joe Gioffre, her sons, William A. Rector (Avis), Joseph A. Trahan (Melissa), and stepson George M. Trahan.  Grandchildren John D. Martinez (Liane), Janice C. Martinez-Fusco (Mike), Justin T. Trahan (Mimi), Jacob T. Trahan, and Brian S. Rector (Erin), Keri-Jo Bobo (James).  Great-grandchildren Savannah, Sydney, Mackensie, and Cohen.  Sister-in-law and friend, Marian C. Marino.  Daughter in love, Kerry Trahan and many other relatives and friends.

Family and friends may call at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD on Monday, November 29th from 10am till time time of service at 12pm. Burial will follow at Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, MD.
