On July 6, 2008, of Hume, VA, passed away at Halquist Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Washington, DC, on October 2, 1922 to Louis and Maude Layton.
Mr. Layton was a life long member of the Carpentor Union Local 1145. He is
survived by his wife Lila Turner Layton; his children, Michael Layton of
Marshall, VA, Belinda Perry of Bridgeville, DE; grandson, Chris, Jason, Sr.,
Clayton, Keith and Kyle Perry; great-grandson, Jason Perry, Jr.; two sisters,
Anita Hipple and Janey Knopf and one brother Louis Layton, III. Family will
receive friends at GASCH'S FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 4739 Baltimore Ave.,
Hyattsville, MD, on Wednesday, July 9 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside
service will be held Thursday, July 10 at 11 a.m. at Southern Memorial
Gardens, Dunkirk, MD. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made
in his hame to Capital Hospice, 6565 Arlington Blvd., Ste 500, Falls Church,
