John Cullinane, Jr.

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 30th , 2018 in Washington DC.  John was born on January 10th, 1942 and was a lifelong resident of Washington DC.  He had a successful 34-year career in information technology at the Washington Gas Light Company. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Theresa; his children and their spouses John and Ann Cullinane, of Hyattsville MD, Anne-Marie and Joseph Aiello of Laurel MD, and Brian and Mary Kate Cullinane of Washington DC; four granddaughters Caitlin, Ciara, Danielle and Lila Mai; brothers, Fr. Brian P. Cullinane O.F.M.; Roger T. Cullinane; and, sister Kathleen C. Hass. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Margaret Cullinane, his brother Kevin M. Cullinane, and his daughter Mary Theresa Cullinane.   Friends may call at Gasch’s Funeral Home, 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD on Thursday, December 6th from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1029 Monroe St. N.E., Washington D.C. 20017 on Friday, December 7th, 2018 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann’s Center for Children, Youth and Families or Carroll Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Activities Department.
