On July 18, 2010 of Silver Spring, MD. Husband of Barbara J. Hill; father of John William (Silvia) Hill, III, Byron Dale (Donna) Hill, Catherine (Michael) Lipka, and Laura Jane Jackson. Grandfather of John W. IV, Christian M. and Joseph P. Hill; Douglas M. and Phillip M. Lipka; Tiffany B., Brittany M. and Zachary D. Woodyard; and Byron D. Hill, Jr. Great grandfather of Hannah G. and Thomas J. Hill. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Theresa (Bobby) Doyle, Michael (Peggy) Tyre, Linda (Jim) Myers, Sr. Patricia Tyre, Kristen (Michael) Kreizenbeck and Ryan Tyre. An infant son, Christopher M. Hill, predeceased him. Family and friends may call at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, 5205 43rd Avenue, Hyattsville, MD 20781 on Saturday, July 24th from 9:30 to 10:30am. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's name to St. Jerome's School Scholarship Fund, address above.
