John Hoppe went to his eternal rest on March 10, 2023. John was born in Washington, DC, to the late Frances and Christian Hoppe. He lived the last 50 years in the Hyattsville area.
Survived by his wife, Sharon, of 50 years, and five children and their spouses: Melissa Hoppe-Tyler (Clay Tyler-deceased), Jonathan Scott Hoppe & Jennifer Oberg, Michael Sean and wife, Heather, Patrick Corey Hoppe & April Bryant, Regina Bartholmew & her husband, Bart. He also had two grandsons, Dylan & Mathew & two granddaughters, Avery & Aubrie.
John retired from DC Government job after 40 years of service.
John was also a former coach with the Hyattsville, Mt. Rainier, Brentwood Boys Girls Club. He thoroughly enjoyed coaching T-Ball, 75 lb. Football team & Basketball for many years. He also served two terms as President with HMB.
