On Wednesday July 28, 2010 the world lost an amazing man, Joey Taylor. Born February 11, 1971 to Joseph Taylor and Rosemary (Connors) Taylor, he joined his older sister Kim to spend the early years of his life in Cheverly, Maryland. Through his parents' divorce and his father's subsequent marriage to Joey's stepmother, Doris (Thomas) Taylor, he gained a younger sister, Jennifer. Joey was a kind man with a big heart who easily made friends from all walks of life in every thing he did. His interest in fast cars and motorcycles was evident from a very young age, and he spent much of his life pursuing his dream to be a race car driver. Joey is survived by his father Joseph, of Laurel, Maryland, his sisters,, Kim and Jennifer, his aunt, Anne Connors, his uncle Michael Connors, his uncle Jerry Taylor, his nephew Matthew Taylor-Vogel, his cousins, Tammy and Lauren, his great uncle Kenny Taylor, and scores of friends who loved him like family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary, his uncle, Danny Connors, his aunt, Vicki Jill Taylor, and his grandparents on both sides. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the family with the assistance of Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A. There will be a gathering at St. Ambrose Catholic Church at 3107 63rd Avenue, Cheverly, Maryland, 20785 at 6:00 PM on Monday, August 9, 2010 with a Catholic Mass immediately following at 7:30 PM. Interment will follow at a later date as per the wishes of the family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Joey's name to a charity of your choice.
