Joyce M. White

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Joyce M. White, on 10/24/24. She was 76 years young. 

Born to Agnes Nelson and James Burch on 3/1/1948 in Washington DC, Joyce lived a full spirited and vibrant life. 

Joyce is survived by her only Daughter, Tanya Michelle, her brother James Burch jr, her sister Brenda Cole and predeceased by her sons William Joseph, Vincent Leon and Lorenzo Maurice. She is also survived by 12 loving grandchildren: Chantelle, Kierra, London, Tierra, Lorenzo jr, Toya, Quincy, Lorenzo H, William, Shanae, Messiah also predeceased by grandsons Brandon and Terrance and a host great-grandchildren she adored and so many family and friends

The life of the party and the light in any room. She took great pride in caring for her family. She was an exceptional cook and could often be found tending to her plants. She loved her family dearly and made a new friend everywhere she went. Her mission of laughter everywhere she went was intoxicating.

Joyce White was a woman of great faith,truly one of a kind and generous soul who always put others before herself. Her family and friends will remember her for her warm smile, her gentle touch and her unwavering love.

Rest in peace, Joyce Marie. You fought a good fight. You will be forever missed and always remembered.
