Katy Lea Buchanan

On November 16th, 2024 at Gilchrist Hospice in Columbia, MD after a short illness. Katy was born in Layland, WV in 1933 to the late Mellville and Georgia Johnson. In 1960 she moved to Edmonston, MD with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Buchanan, and nephew, Willard Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, son John, and her treasured cats, Tom and Levi. A viewing will be held at Gasch's Funeral Home in Hyattsville, MD on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 12 pm with burial following at Fort Lincoln Cemetery at 2pm.
