Laurence Hinds "Larry"

Of Hyattsville, Maryland passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2019.
He was a loving and devoted father to Kathleen (Gary) Divver, and Step-daughter Nancy Patton. He is survived by one granddaughter Laura McDowell and two great granddaughters Kaylee McDowell and Brienna McDowell. He was preceded in death by his mother Florence Hinds, father Lee Hinds, and wife Edith Miller Hinds.

Larry inspired his friends and family. We were so proud that at the age of 90 he still lived independently, able to drive, run errands, and he could perform computer functions. Every obstacle that came his way, he found a way to keep moving. Larry loved spending time with his family and friends. He took day trips to the casino with Nancy, played games with Laura, Kaylee, and Brie, and he enjoyed watching Hallmark movies with Kathy.

Larry had a special place in his heart for the Fraternal Order of the Masons. He was a loyal and devoted member of Mt. Hermon Lodge #179 located in Hyattsville Maryland for 49 years. He presided as Worshipful Master for six terms, instructed new candidates, and most recently held the secretary position. Larry was very passionate about keeping the lodge alive despite the changing times.

Family will receive visitors at Gasch's Funeral Home 4739 Baltimore Ave, Hyattsville Md on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 2 to 4. And 6 to 8 where a Masonic Memorial service will be held at 7pm. The funeral will be held on Thursday December 19 2019 at 11 am in the Little Chapel at Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Interment immediately following service.
