Lucretia Vernette Jackson passed peacefully on the morning of Sunday, February 5th, 2017 after spending her final days surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Lucretia Vernette Jackson, 60, was born on September 17th, 1956 to Mavis Cheek and Augusta Jackson in Washington, DC. The middle of 8 children, Lucretia grew up in Washington, DC and attended Dunbar High School. In 1975, Lucretia met her husband, Robert Larbi and they later relocated to Hyattsville, MD where they raised their two children, Javonda and Jason. Lucretia loved spending time with her family, cooking delicious meals, and enjoying the simple joys in life. Lucretia's love and joy was contagious and touched the lives of everyone she knew. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her children Javonda Ampofo and Jason Larbi (Samantha); a brother, Clyde Jackson; sisters, Sylvia Ababio, Sarah Mansaray, Elaine Pope (Richard), Clarice Jackson (James); granddaughters, Adriana and Isabelle Larbi; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lucretia was preceded in death by her mother, Mavis Cheek; father, Augusta Jackson; and sisters Delores Moten and Geneva Reynolds.
