Margaret Chroniger, of Bowie, Maryland passed away on Friday, November 20, 2009. Margaret was born on October 23, 1920, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the eldest of ten children of John and Margaret McBride. Margaret was married in 1940 to Alfred G. Chroniger, who predeceased her in January of 2000. She is survived by ten children and their spouses, Al and Kay, John and Helenice, Bob and Jane, Jim and Darlene, Billy and Anna, Mike and Suzanne, Richard and Dollie, Joe and Cathy, Patrick Chroniger and Margaret Chroniger, along with 43 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by two brothers, Russell and Joe and 5 sisters, Frances Abraham, Kathryn Marsh, Mary Bourbon, Anna Ford and Patricia McEachron and her brother and sister-in-law, Pratt and Rose Chroniger. She was predeceased by two brothers, John and William McBride. Margaret was a member of the Decatur Heights Women's Club, a General Director of the Prince George's County Boys and Girls Club, and a founding member of the Senior Booster Club of DeMatha Catholic High School. Relatives and friends are invited to Margaret's Life Celebration on Saturday, November 28th and Sunday, November 29th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue Hyattsville, Maryland. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 30th at 10 am at Saint Jerome's Catholic Church on 43rd Avenue in Hyattsville, Maryland. Interment will follow at Fort Lincoln Cemetery on Bladensburg Road in Brentwood, Maryland. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, a remembrance donation be made to the Senior Booster Club at DeMatha Catholic High School, 4313 Madison Street Hyattsville, Maryland 20781.
