On Saturday, October 22, 2016 Margaret Ann (Horman) Stoner 75, of Ft. Pierce, FL peacefully passed away surrounded by family in Arnold, MD. Margaret was also affectionately known as Nan, Nanny or Kitty.
Born October 19, 1941 in New York City, Margaret's family moved to Chevy Chase, MD while she was a youngster. Margaret married Edward John (Jack) Stoner on February 4, 1967 and they settled in New Carrollton, MD where they raised three children. After the death of her husband Jack, Margaret moved from New Carrollton, MD to Hebron, MD and then to Fort Pierce, FL. Health issues required her to come back to MD and ultimately prevented her return to FL. She wound up living the last few years with either her daughter Mary, her daughter Patti or her granddaughter Karla, all of whom provided care for her until the end. She was blessed enough to have spent her final days surrounded by immediate family and receiving calls and visits from countless friends, family and loved ones - all affirming how loved she truly is.
Margaret was predeceased by: her parents; her husband Jack; her sisters Caroline, Mary and Rose and her brothers Fred, Jim, and Rick. Survivors include her sisters Babette and Fran, and her brother Gene; her son Eddie and his wife Lori, her daughter Mary and husband Dave, her daughter Patti and husband Kurt, her grandchildren Karla, Bobby, Josh, Aaron, Victoria, and Kristina and her great-grandchildren Mylee, Corbin and Kolby and a host of cherished cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD 20781 on Wednesday, october 26 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 5700 St. Bernard Drive, Riverdale, MD 20737 on Thursday, October 27 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery
