On Friday, May 22, 2009 of Hyattsville and Ocean City, MD. Born in Italy in 1920, she came to the United States in 1959 and opened her own seamstress shop not far from the Capitol Building. Due to her fine work and close proximity to the Capitol, she had the pleasure of providing her services and skills to many of our Nations lawmakers until retiring in 1982 to their beach home on Second Street in Ocean City. Survived by her children, Virginia (Antonio) Puglisi and Orazio Puglisi, Jr.; grandchildren Rosemaria Quinly, Daniela Cestone, Daniel Puglisi, and Lisa Marie Puglisi; great-grandchildren James, Kelly and Gina Quinly, and Sarah Cestone. Beloved wife of the late Orazio Puglisi, Sr., who passed in 1996. Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 28, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. at GASCH'S FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 29th at 12:00pm at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, 5205 43rd Avenue, Hyattsville, MD. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD.
