Mary Katherine Darden, "Kitty",
passed away at the age of 89. She was a longtime resident of Mayo, Maryland and retired from C & P Telephone Company after 30 years of service. After her retirement, she remained active in the Telephone Pioneers, a charitable organization whose mission is to improve the lives of children and the elderly. Mrs. Darden is survived by her sister, Dolly Moore, her brother, Samuel T. Moore, Jr., four nieces and two nephews. On Friday, November 23, 2007, family will receive friends at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, Maryland from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral celebration at 12:00 noon. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
