On Thursday, November 9, 2017 of Bowie, MD. Beloved husband of 55 years to Esther Walters. Sister of Anne Leypoldt, sister-in-law of Lois Wright. Uncle of Robert (Maureen) Leypoldt and Peggy (Charles) France. Great-uncle of Jason and Kevin France and Jennifer Leypoldt. He was a volunteer fireman with the Riverdale Fire Department for 10 years as well as a veteran in the United States Navy.  A funeral service will be held at Gasch’s Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue on Thursday, November 16 at 11 AM. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 7500 Greenway Center Drive, Suite 300, Greenbelt, MD 20770
