Norma King

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Beloved Mother, Norma Marie (Saur) King. Norma passed away peacefully the morning of Friday, June 18th, 2021 at Potomac Valley Rehabilitation.

Mom was born on February 17th, 1928 to parents, Henry and Kathryn Saur (both deceased) of Washington, DC.

Mom was predeceased by her husband, David, and sons, Mike and Dale. She is survived by her three children, Kenny, Brenda and Kathryn, her daughter-in-law, Patty, nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Mom's greatest joys were her family, baking her special cakes and homemade ice cream, day trips with her daughter, Kathryn, and Norma's best friend, Gee.

Mom had been a homemaker and as her children grew older she started working at various school cafeterias and truly enjoyed seeing the children and hearing their laughter.

We will all miss her beautiful smile, easy laughter and her kind nature. She was truly a gift to us as our Mom and earned her much deserved "Angel Wings" after 93 years!!

Mom's viewing will be held at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD 20781 on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m.
