Patricia Mary Wholey

Born : Patricia Mary McIntyre, May 11, 1929 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Patricia led a life of sacrifice for her three children and was always a pillar of strength and conviction. Despite being a single mother, she overcame all obstacles and prospered, without dependence upon others. She volunteered in the community, teaching literacy to adults. She sought and achieved higher education, all while working and raising children on her own, in order to provide a better life for them. In later years, she cared for her adult daughter, a victim of Multiple Sclerosis.
Patricia is survived by her son Michael Wholey of Cordova, Maryland, son James and Daughter in law Linda Wholey of Highland, MD and five grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Vincent McIntyre of Prince Edward Island, Joseph McIntyre of Ottawa and James McIntyre of Sault Ste. Marie, as well as her sister, Clara McNulty of Los Angeles. She was predeceased by her brother, Leo McIntyre, of Montreal and daughter, Mary Bean of Upper Marlboro.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8300 Old Columbia Road, Fulton, Maryland at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Interment will follow at St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Parish cemetery in Granite, MD.
