Robert P. Arakelian, Sr. of Grasonville, MD passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on October 21, 2016, in his home after his courageous battle with cancer. He was a committed Christ Follower who was a loving, faithful husband to his beautiful wife Ginger of 55 years.
Born August 29, 1935 to the late Edward and Anna Arakelian. Preceeded in death by his brother Edward Arakelian and sister Mary Wray.
He is survived by three children Robert P. Arakelian, Jr., Helen Hoey, and Anne Margaret (Alan) Kerley. Eleven cherished grandchildren: Kristin, Max and Harry Arakelian, Natalie, Madeline, Jackson and Juliet Hoey (their father Dan Hoey), Jonathan, Alyssa, Erin and Siera Kerley.
After a successful career of 31 years, he retired from Lucent Technologies in 1996. He and his wife spent their retirement years traveling, serving the Lord, enjoying and celebrating life with family and friends. Together they brought joy, laughter and lots of blessings to those they were with. He loved life and lived it to the full. He leaves behind a huge void and a legacy of love for family and relationship. He is dearly missed. We praise the Lord that we can say with confidence that we will see him again. He is finally with the Savior he lived for.
