On Monday, April 27, 2015, of Laurel, MD. Loving son of the late Edward and Betty Mae Smith. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Everett Smith, III, and his brother and best friend, William Randolph "Bill" Smith. Brothers forever. Also preceding him in death was his first "son", an Akita, Sir Bear Randolph Smith "Bear". Love of his life. His second Akita "son", King, also preceded him in death. He is survived by his beautiful and loving third Akita "son", Reagan.
Also surviving is his loving and devoted companion, Joanne Becka. They considered each other teammates during his journey to the end of this life. Also surviving him are many more loving friends whose lives have been enhanced by having known him.
Bob worked his entire career, since the age of 19, as a professional locksmith culminating as the owner of Ernie's Lock Company in Riverdale, MD since 1989.
Friends may call at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, on Monday, May 4th from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Tuesday, May 5th at 11 a.m. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD.
