Ronald was born in Trinidad to Desmond and Theresa Lewis on September 28, 1959. He completed elementary school before his family immigrated to the U.S.A. He attended and graduated from St. Anthony’s High School in Washington, DC.
He learned the value of hard work from both his parents and worked in the restaurant and beauty service industries. Known to all as Ron, he successfully owned and ran Sapphire Salon and Day Spa in Annapolis for three decades. He was very involved in the hair styling business and taught several courses at conferences. During his years of hard work and dedication, many of his clients became his lifelong friends.
Ron was a compassionate, kind, affectionate, generous and loving son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, nephew and friend to many. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at get- togethers, cooking for others and hosting backyard BBQ’s, going to the beach, shopping, traveling the world and being the life of the party. He had a great sense of humor and loved and cared for his dogs: Spice, Meesha and Spike. He was proud of his accomplishments and opportunities but above all else, his love for his family is his greatest legacy he leaves behind.
He is survived by his brother, Terence and his wife, Merle as well as his sister, Allison and her husband, Calvin/ Rick. He is survived by his nephews, Lance and Brandon Lewis, James and Peter Wilder, his niece, Taylor Lewis, and his many cousins, aunt, relatives and friends.
He will be sorely missed by many cousins, family members and friends in the U.S.A. and Trinidad.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, paternal and maternal grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
