Ruby Doris Gibson, 79, of Landover Hills, MD, died April 28, 2012 at home. She was born on January 19, 1933 in Clinton N.C. She was the daughter of Kirk P. Spell and Annie Oleta Spell.
Ruby was a Prince George's County school cafeteria worker for over 40 years. She worked until shortly before her death. She was a member of the Landover Hills Baptist Church and served on their hospitality committee. She enjoyed traveling and watching all kinds of sports. She was a devoted fan of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Gibson, her parents. A sister Annie Smith and two brothers Kirk Spell Jr and Joseph Spell.
She is survived by a daughter Elaine San Fellipo (Frank), a son Bernard Gibson II (Patricia), and a Grand-daughter Jennifer San Fellipo.
Friends may call Gasch's Funeral Home 4739 Baltimore Ave Hyattsville MD, 20781. On Friday May 4, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Funeral Service on Saturday May 5, 2012 at 10:30am at the Landover Hills Baptist Church 4420 73rd Ave Landover Hills MD. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
