RUDOLPH PORTER, fondly known as "Pops," passed away peacefully at his home on March 13, 2010 at the age of 82. Born May 2, 1927 in Georgetown, Guyana, he was the son of the late Mabel and Randolph Porter. He was a retired Police Superintendent with the Guyana Police Department and a Security Guard for the Washington Times. He is survived by his loving wife Joan; children Wayne, Joylene, Michelle, Richard, and Germaine; grandchildren Richard, Jr., Diandre, Kwame, Donovan, Justin, Jasmin, Nia, and Kalayah; sisters and many other loved ones and friends. A dedicated and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he will be sorely missed by all, and his warm spirit, we know, will live on for eternity. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 27 from 10 am to 12 noon at GASCH'S FUNERAL HOME P.A., 4739 Baltimore Ave., Hyattsville, MD, followed by the Memorial Service at 12. A repass will follow at 4009 Quintana St., Hyattsville, MD.
