Sharon Cook

On December 1, 2012, Sherry, of Hyattsville, MD, went home to be with the Lord. Sherry was a graduate of Bladensburg Senior High - Class of 1966. She was a full-time homemaker, volunteer, and Girl Scout Leader for many years. She began a second career as a receptionist for Dr. Asghar Shaigany, lasting for the past 12 years. Sherry enjoyed traveling, particularly to Disney World, Williamsburg VA, and the Outer Banks of NC; but her most favorite trip was to Europe, especially Paris, a place she always wanted to visit. Her other passions included crocheting, crafting, and spending time with family and friends. She was loved and admired by all who knew her. Sherry is predeceased by her parents, Mildred and Ilo Alderman. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Sampson R. Cook, Jr. ("Sonny"); daughters Angela (Dwaine) Porter and Lori (Tom) Wilson; grandchildren Cameron and Tanner Savage; Thomas and Bethany Wilson; Darian Savage and Jameson Porter.
