Thomas Heaney Jr.

Thomas “Tommy” A. Heaney Jr. Age 38, of Hyattsville, MD. Passed away March 4, 2019. Born November 22, 1980, in La Plata, Maryland to Nioca Smoot and the late Thomas A. Heaney Sr.

Tommy was born and raised in Southern Maryland spending his childhood between Charles and Calvert County. Tommy was a very kind and loving person. Although never one for attention Tommy had no problem making a fool of himself to make another person smile. Tommy had an infectious laugh that radiated life and was know for giving the best soul enveloping hug. Tommy was the lover of the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, and backyard BBQ’s surrounded by his family, especially his cousins and childhood friends. Tommy worked in the IT field and everyone called him with all their computer problems. There was not a computer he couldn’t fix or a cigarette he wouldn’t smoke. His greatest achievement in life was his children and he enjoyed spending time with them. Tommy will be incredibly missed by everyone who was blessed to meet and know him.

Tommy survived by his three children Jason, Dillon, and Sophia; his wife Tabatha; his parents Nioca and David Smoot; sister Shannon Crush and her husband Brian; brother Brandon Heaney and his wife Shannon; sister Melissa Buck and her husband Matthew; Nieces Brianna Crush, Shailyn Crush, Camille Crush, Ryleigh Buck and Paige Buck; nephews Nicholas Crush and Carter Crush; grandmothers Theresa Wall, and Alicia Heaney. Tommy had a huge extended family full of many aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
