William A Mitchell

It is with heavy hearts the family of William Arnold Mitchell, Sr. of Lusby, Maryland, announce his passing. Bill was born on July 21, 1953, and departed this world on December 10, 2022. Bill spent much of his career as an over-the-road driver and worked for Embassy Dairy, Vie de France, NB Handy and Capital Electric, and spent time as an owner-operator of Mitchell Transport.

He is survived by his wife, Dora Mitchell; former wife, Carol Badenoch (Danny) and the mother of William Jr. (Tiffany; granddaughter Kathryn), Ryan (Mary; granddaughters Grace and Faith), and Kyle (Laura); his daughter, Michele (granddaughters, Madison McDaniel, Josephine Young and Helana Young from his marriage to Sarah McKenzie Daniello); his step-daughter Ana Caballero; siblings Nancy Lee Stramer, Sandra Ragan (Paul), Wayne Ramsey (Catherine), Cynthia Mitchell, Jim Mitchell (Roddy), and Kerry Callaway (Tony); many loving nephews and nieces, cousins and in-laws. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest H. Mitchell, Sr. and Viola Ruth Mitchell; and brother, Ernest H. Mitchell, Jr. (Jean). 

A Celebration of Life will take place at Gasch’s Funeral Home, 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD on Thursday, December 15th, 2022 from 2 to 6pm. A service will be held at Gasch’s on Friday, December 16th, 2022 at 10am. Burial following at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Maryland.
