William Shenberger

On Tuesday, May 31, 2011, William A. "Bill" Shenberger passed away of natural causes at his hillside home in Hanover, PA. He was 74 years old.
Born on August 20, 1936, in Washington DC, Bill grew up in Hyattsville, MD, and raised his family in New Carrollton, MD. He was an Elevator Constructor, primarily for Otis Elevator Company, and an active member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors, Local #10, until his retirement after 38 years of service.
He is survived by his children, Theresa M. Shenberger Chaffer (Robert Chaffer), of Edgewater, MD, William A. Shenberger Jr (Linda Goodenough Shenberger), of Glendale, MD and Michael J. Shenberger (Sheryl Jasielum Shenberger), of Gambrills, MD, and his grandchildren, Mark and Thomas Chaffer, and Ashley, Brooke and Chad Shenberger.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Maria E. Cirios Shenberger, and his loving companion of 17 years, Natalie P. Orchowski, of Hyattsville, MD, his parents, Ralph M. Shenberger and Edna Ort Shenberger, his sister, Mary Shenberger Hatton and his brother, Edward Shenberger.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011, 5 - 8pm, at Gasch's Funeral Home, 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD. Interment will take place on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, 10:30am, at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD.
