William Wallace “Bill” Littleford
William Wallace Littleford, 70, of Rockville, MD, passed away on January 12, 2022; known to his friends
and family as “Bill” or “Stretch”.
Bill was born on January 17, 1951 in Hyattsville, MD. One of six children, he was a son of the late
Wallace and Alice Littleford. Bill was a man of many talents, having worked primarily as a carpenter. He
lent his talents over the years as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. Bill was always readily available to
lend a helping hand or a compassionate ear to his many friends and family.
Bill was a passionate golfer. He participated in many golf tournaments throughout his life and in later
years, worked to golf. He looked forward to annual golf trips with many friends and loved exploring new
courses. He enjoyed the simple things in life, such as picnics in the park with his longtime partner, Carol,
and gatherings with his friends and family. Bill was grateful for his 42 years of sobriety and fellowship.
He leaves his family to cherish his memory included his beloved partner of many years, Carol; daughters
Kathleen (Michael), Shannon, and Meagan; sisters Nora and Christina (Wayman); sister-in-law Lillie Mae;
brothers John (Jean) and Thomas. Bill was predeceased by his brother Michael.
He also leaves grandchildren Isabelle, Matthew, Nathan, Mya, Aaliyah, and Layla; nieces Danielle, Susan,
Jennifer, Katie, Nancy, Gail, and Laura; nephews Stephen, Adam, Alexander, Brendan, and Michael; and
many cousins. Each loved him immensely and he loved and enjoyed every moment with them.
A memorial service will be held by the family at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s memory to Habitat for Humanity or a
charity of your choice.
